Learning Through Community Research

Our group came together to brainstorm ideas on where to conduct our research. After discussing several potential locations, we decided to focus on Bulala, Vigan. This area was ideal for our research, as it offered rich insights and community engagement opportunities.

Once the location was finalized, we formulated a set of questionnaires to distribute to the local residents. The questions were designed to gather information about their daily lives, experiences, and thoughts on various aspects of their community, which would be central to our research findings.

After distributing the questionnaires to the residents, we also visited a hidden garden in the area. There, we had the opportunity to speak with the staff, who shared their experiences and explained how they take care of the garden, providing us with additional valuable insights for our research.

We also conducted an interview with the barangay captain of Bulala. He answered our questions and shared his personal experiences, as well as the history of Bulala, Vigan. His knowledge helped us gain a deeper understanding of the community and its development over time.
